چکیده

Abstract Background Chronic ocular graft-versus-host disease (oGVHD) is an comorbidity of (GVHD) that usually occurs concurrently with systemic manifestations. Failure to detect and treat oGVHD in its early stages may lead progression signs symptoms leading refractory conventional treatment. Case presentation We report the clinical course a 19-year-old male 59-year-old female severe progressive chronic without concurrent (cGVHD). Although their conditions had been stable, both suffered from were referred our clinic. Both cases exhibited marked improvement conjunctival inflammation fibrotic changes after amniotic membrane transplantation (AMT). underwent keratoplasty eventually stabilize surface improve visual function. Conclusions reported outcomes 2 comorbidities treated AMT. Multilayer amniotic membrane transplantation in severe ocular graft versus host disease.

PURPOSE To clarify the usefulness of multilayer amniotic membrane transplantation in an unusual case of calcareous corneal degeneration in a patient with graft-versus-host disease. METHODS A 20-year-old Caucasian woman had bilateral calcareous corneal degeneration of one year of evolution, secondary to graft-versus-host disease. Treatment for both eyes with topical steroids and antibiotic oin...

Frequency of ocular manifestations of chronic graft versus host disease.

BACKGROUND With the advancement of techniques for haematopoietic cell transplantation, the number of transplant survivors is increasing rapidly and so are the chances of chronic graft versus host disease (cGVHD). The ocular manifestations of this disease have not been explored in our local population. This study was conducted to determine the frequency of ocular complications in cases of cGVHD ...

Relationship between Molecular Chimerism and Graft Versus Host Disease after Allogenic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

Background: Bone marrow transplantation (BMT) is considered as a curative therapy for a broad range of diseases. However, complications such as relapse and graft versus host disease (GVHD) may be observed following BMT. Chimerism analysis serves as a reliable indicator of transplant outcome. Complete chimerism refers to the complete replacement of hematopoietic system by donor cells, while mixe...
